doing missions for the really old mafia guy and the guy in prison...

(I've not played it for a couple of days due to other commitments.)
I've recently unlocked the 3rd island, but haven't done any missions there yet.
i did the "heat" mission lastnight
my expression throughout was this :D

I think there was at least two stages where I was almost dead, but managed to cheat death somehow!

5 bloody attempts
at this mission, every time I got to the end where you come out of the subway, I died. Then I realised if you just stay in the subway and run along the tracks you can get rid of your wanted level... probably cheating but I almost quit playing because of that stupid mission!
did you have to dodge trains?

lots of big long difficult missions coming up for you then. There's a really good one coming up where you have to make another choice about who you kill... choosing one gives you a pretty cool little advantage, killing the other doesn't. I'm not telling you which though!
Oh, and make sure you take Dwayne out for lots of drinks, he sends you a car full of 'homies' as backup if he's your mate, which is really helpful later on.

I think you can take your time as well. The zoom function + right stick to go for headshots is pretty useful too.
If the cover system fucking worked then I could use it.
Otherwise, the cunt never leaves the wall, OR get stuck to the wrong one and the camera goes all AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA to my face.
Just use right shoulder button to stick to the wall
hold the left trigger down halfway to free aim, when you shoot with right trigger Niko sort of pops up from behind cover to take the shots. I haven't died in a firefight in ages using this method.

I thought you press RT to cover and then pressed it again to come out. Fuck me, I want to try that now... :|
Nope, just press it once
and he goes into cover mode.. when you shoot he'll move out automatically, then hide again when you stop shooting. You can also change targets whilst in cover.

my tip:
use the sniper rifle all the way through, you can hit every one of the foremen from miles away, especially using that other half-contructed building next to the one they're in.

where you have to lure him to the window? Dunno, only about halfway through the actual missions I think, I keep thinking 'I must be getting near the end' then I meet a few new guys and get a whole ton of new missions.

justanothersheeldz was stuck on/is stuck on - i can kill the bastards and take their stuff, but escaping the LAW wrecks me every time. three stars is scary :(
i did the six stars for five minutes achievement though :D
Oh the wanted level is easy to loose - just drive away really fast.
In fact that might be only think I am good at with this game tbh...
