i'm a relative retard when it comes to pavement

i have terror twilight and wowee zowee both of which i love and i was wondering if anyone could recommend which album to get next?

Yes, Slanted & Enchanted

It's the bestest thing ever, possibly. Though CR is great too.

It's a bit like the difference between 'Surfer Rosa' and 'Doolittle', so pick your preference there and apply to Pavement's albums. Or something.

wowee zowee

is excellent. brighten the corners and slanted are my favourites. crooked rain is amazing too - most people rate this and slanted the most highly. so to summarise - get the other three albums you don't have!

Solex's version of Shady Lane has to be heard to be believed. And it includes Tinderstick's glorious interpretation of Here, stripped of that annoying pavement collegeboy smugness, it's a beautiful song!

Sadly split up now I'm afraid...

but their second album 'if we meet in the future' is a masterpiece.

As of course is their shock Peel Festive 50 chart topper from a few years ago Girls Are the New Boys.

Brighten The Corners.......

was the first Pavement album i bought and i love it. Embassy Row is my favourite song on the album.

Does anyone know if the deluxe edition of the album is being released soon the last three are the best re-issues ever.
