Can Mondays be fun in London?

H'lo!
Does anyone know where would be a nice few bars to hang out on a Monday night in Capitol City? I'm off on an impromptu trip to see my brother for my birthday and every other time we ended up in pretty standard places he knows, it would be cool to find something a bit different this time. Something with good music but not filled with scenesters and crazy haircuts would be the thing, a nice atmosphere and maybe a fine selection of whiskeys also?
Location isn't a big deal but we'll be going from his work on Oxford Street so probably central would be good
Cheers

DURRR

IS ACE

'DURRR happens every Monday night @ The End, West Central Street, London, WC1. Resident DJs Rory Phillips, The Lovely Jonjo, Our Man Fred and Hanna Hanra. On the first Monday of the month THE PIX launch their mag by hosting the lounge, whooo! Live bands and more new music!'

OOH

If you fancy some raucous open mic mingy goodness, go to Sponful of Poison at Rhythm Factory

Looks odd

maybe! Thanks

And just down the road from the rhythm factory

is a lovellllly little pub called Indo.

Great beers, modest prices, nice people, good music and not full of dickhead scenesters. And it round the corner from my flat. Perrrrfect.

It's opposite the east London Mosque innit
