On Thursday May 22nd we've got a really exciting New Slang for you!

Headlining is our good pal and all round legend Frank Turner! Often described as this generations Billy Bragg, he plays socially aware, moving, and sometimes witty folk songs with it's roots strongly within the punk aesthetic. He's just released his second full length album 'Love Ire & Song' and we can't wait to hear the new stuff live along with some of the older classics!

We're delighted to have him back playing for us for a third time, having had him play the first ever time we put on an event at The Works!

Main support comes from an extraordinarily good band from Los Angeles, The Mae Shi. This band released their latest album on the consistently brilliant Moshi Moshi label and it's already a contender for album of the year. Slightly insane, fun, and at times ridiculous dancey, music with the occasional hint of electro. Having seen this band live before, trust me when I say you do not want to miss out on this. They put on one hell of a show, and completely blew me away when I saw them.

And opening the night is Paramount Styles which is the solo project of Girls Against Boys singer and guitarist Scott McCloud.
