Has anyone else had this problem? It's fine with any other game but today, no matter how many times I try, it just won't read GTA IV. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

May sound obvious but...
Have you tried cleaning the disc at all?
I had this problem yesterday
I only have one part of my receipt from Tesco as well so I'm praying they exchange it.
I gave it a quick wipe.
I'll see if I can dig out some of that CD cleaning liquid. I'm sure there's some arround here somewhere.

and, yeah, other games that I've tried work. I'll try giving the disc another clean.

mine would occasionally read the disc before freezing on the menu screen or leading screen...
Just to check, in case I had a red ring without noticing (that sounds filthy)
is it possible that a red ring could affect one game? Because I've now checked every other game I own, and they all work apart from GTA.
What kind of
360 do you have? Premium, Elite, or Core.Its possible your 360 may need a n update
It's a Premium 360.
How would I get this update? I've tried everything else, so it's worth a shot.

Well, I have a plan
Panic not.
Run out of your house and carjack the first decent set of 'wheels' you like (try to use an Eastern European accent as you do so). Slalom around the streets, knocking over lampposts and understeering horribly until the police start to try to pull you over, at which point burn away and try to lost them.
Once you've shaken them off drive the battered wreck back to your house, park it up and go to sleep (in your clothes) for 6 hours. You'll feel a whole heap better when you wake up.
That would be all well and good

What does 3 red rings do?
Are they permanent, or do thay just appear once? Just checking I haven't had this problem without noticing.
