even though i bought a pint last night. when i was young and lived in the countryside we had a tile that the milkman had to put over silver-top bottles to prevent the birds from pecking the lids off.
but moved back to bristol a few months ago... but kinda still live in cardiff. in that i'm there every weekend.. and i have my own set of keys to my mates house cos i'm there so often!
i used to live opposite the flora pub in cathays... good ol' student digs days...
i lived off albany road (which joins onto city rd) in my last place. You ever go to buffalo bar last year? i worked full time there for a while... i love the buff!
only lived here since september though so not last year (unless you mean 2007, in which case yes, a few times)
my current favourite is milgi on city road <3
although the two times i've been to that so far, it's been inside but there's one this sunday and they've PROMISED it will be outside now. Resident DJ eh, I might have borrowed a lighter from your ex last time I went then
erm the only thing i can remember about this guy was that he was quite tall and had short hair and was wearing a white t-shirt. but yeah i've seen a couple different ones around. they've got a new summer menu now with milkshakes and smoothies to die for!
makes me happy :)
Oh have you been to Wally's Delicatessen in the Diff? It's amazing for random european foodstuffs. Christmas is a magical time in that shop.
I went to lidl and they didn't have 1pints and 2 pints were 74 so I was 3 pence short (I actually had 71p) so I went to the cornershop and got one pint for 45p. YEAH!
1 pint of fresh milk.
4 pints of value skimmed uht long life milk.
about 70ps worth
thanks
1 pint fresh milk
1/2 pint organic fresh milk
no no no
unless london is insane.
1 pint of milk = 40p. 1 pint of organic milk = 50p.
i don't live in london.
is milk in bristol more expensive than in london?!
i dunno
you can buy half pints of milk in bristol?
yeah. totally no.
ha ha.
my bad. i meant 2 pints fresh milk and 1 pint organic.
ok thanks x
2 pints with a bit of luck
does the luck come free with the milk?
only if you wink at the cow
i actually have no idea
even though i bought a pint last night. when i was young and lived in the countryside we had a tile that the milkman had to put over silver-top bottles to prevent the birds from pecking the lids off.
You're alive!
Thank fuck for that.
ok i'm going to lidl
will report back. obviously.
LIDL!
I now love you again <3
why did you ever not?
and i don't go to lidl because i like it, just because it's close AND cheap.
People are so snobbish bout Lidl
some of the food pretty decent, sure the is shit but its pretty decent and isnt THAT much cheaper then other supermarkets.
i am a bit snobbish about it
some stuff is ok, some other stuff is NOT ok.
are you going to the Lidl opposite the woodies pub in cathays?!
yeah!
but then i went to the cornershop the other side of the woody for reasons stated below. do you actually live in cardiff?
well... lived there for the last 4 years,
but moved back to bristol a few months ago... but kinda still live in cardiff. in that i'm there every weekend.. and i have my own set of keys to my mates house cos i'm there so often!
i used to live opposite the flora pub in cathays... good ol' student digs days...
ahh cool
i'll be living just off city road next year, can't wait
yeah i prefer roath..
i lived off albany road (which joins onto city rd) in my last place. You ever go to buffalo bar last year? i worked full time there for a while... i love the buff!
yeah been to buffalos a few times
only lived here since september though so not last year (unless you mean 2007, in which case yes, a few times)
my current favourite is milgi on city road <3
oh dear god.
i loved milgi... but i can't go anymore on account of my ex being the resident DJ there. and that place is tiny. NO. WHERE. TO. HIDE.
thoroughly lovely place though. it has a YURT! what more could you want aye.
and the street markets!
although the two times i've been to that so far, it's been inside but there's one this sunday and they've PROMISED it will be outside now. Resident DJ eh, I might have borrowed a lighter from your ex last time I went then
there's a few resident DJ's....
which one are you referring to?
ahh yeah, mat the hat organises those street market thingies doesn't he? i haven't been to one in a while.
yes he does apparently, he sends out the fb invites anyway!
erm the only thing i can remember about this guy was that he was quite tall and had short hair and was wearing a white t-shirt. but yeah i've seen a couple different ones around. they've got a new summer menu now with milkshakes and smoothies to die for!
i want my flat
to look like the interior of milgi.
sigh!
ooooh summer, smoothie time!! i've never had food in there though, i always heard it's quite nice.
yeah never had any food in there either
but one of these days, when i actually have some money, i will get a proper meal there!
by the way they've started selling t-shirts with "northcote lane boutique market' printed across the chest, i bought one the other day
awwww... that's too cute.
we can become lane groupies.
how much they cost?
only a fiver!
i'll get you a pic of mine if you want?
awww wow!!!
super bargain. yeah what do they look like?! different colours?!!
cardiff lidl 4 life
SAVE 1p off cheap imitation red bull!
they have awesome cheese.
and all those european spiced cookies at christmas! yum.
they have lebkuchen all year round
and Stollen comes in from August (y)
Oh and the waffles you can put in your toaster. The only things i liked about cardiff are food related :-|
lebkuchen :)
makes me happy :)
Oh have you been to Wally's Delicatessen in the Diff? It's amazing for random european foodstuffs. Christmas is a magical time in that shop.
you'll probably be able to buy 10 pints at Lidl....!!
sadly not
2 pints = 74p
:(
lame!!
i remember when 1 pint = 33p
and 2 pints was about 60p...
sigh.. fucking inflation.
why the need for milk?
if i can ask
because
cereal would be kind of boring without it
OK SO
I went to lidl and they didn't have 1pints and 2 pints were 74 so I was 3 pence short (I actually had 71p) so I went to the cornershop and got one pint for 45p. YEAH!
Usually fifty pence for a pint
and thirty pence for a half pint. If you can find another ten pence, you could get pne and a half.
I'm not sure how much it is for more than that.
