Pretty self explanatory really.
I think I'll go and see them tomorrow as I think the albums are pretty decent and used to listen to them a few years back. Never seen them live though, any cop?
It's only a fiver and literally just down the road though so will go anyway.
May as well
If you like their albums, they pull it off quite well live, and always good banter!
well, they're fucking gash on record
so i don't see how much better it could get live.
It was all a bit confusing for me
but i saw them live before hearing any of the recorded stuff - they couldn't hear anything they were playing & the video game bleeps were stupidly high in the mix but they still pulled off a good show...so if you catch them on a good night i reckon they'll tear the house down.
And even if it turns out to be balls, you'll only have wasted a fiver and can pat yourself on the back for supporting 'the scene', innit.
Absolute abortion of music
They played here about four years ago the same night Cat on Form were playing, so the shows got merged. Stupidly, whoever put the show on decided to have Cat on Form headlining, leaving a mass exodus as soon as Horse the Band had finished. The audience dwindled from about 200 to 30 or so. Cat on Form split up a few weeks afterwards. They were amazing that night, too.
I stood outside for most of Horse the Band. It was pretty embarrassing.
Erm hold on
Where was this?
I saw them on this tour and in Leeds (Brudenell Social Club) it was the same line up, same order.
Firstly HORSE the Band were excellent and the show was brilliant, everyone loved it, some a little too much with one guy stripping to his y fronts to dance!
Secondly there were only about 40 people there in the first place. Seems hard to belive there were 200 people at another gig, especially as the second time I saw HORSE, when they were much more well known, there wasnt even 200 then. Although some of these 40 left after HORSE, there was never some 'mass exodus.'
However Cat on Form were extremely excellent, glad I saw them before they split.
PS
I no longer like HORSE the Band, there music is pretty terrible. But I stand by that Leeds show being awesome.
They're great live.
If you like the albums, you'll like seeing them. When I watched them play, they were grinning ear to ear. Looked like they were having more fun than anyone else ever.
