Admittedly I have dropped it a few times, including a couple of times on a treadmill which caused the double trauma of falling to the ground then shooting off backwards as well. It's <ahem> still under warranty.

working in a hi-fi shop, listening to 'crooked rain, crooked rain'

just had a complaint from my boss. apparantly the recording quality makes the current system sound like 'a fucking transistor radio' and now i have to listen to damien rice. arse.

Promo of the new marconi union album on All Saints//Hannibal Records which seems to have materialised mysteriously on my desk while I was at lunch. Don't know anything about them/him/her/it but it is rather splendid.

Clint Mansell ft. Kronos Quartet - Requiem for a dream theme

Now known as the theme for adverts of the movie "King Arthur" or whatever it was (its got that girl who can't act in it...knightly) & the LOTR theme, I think it is as well.

There's this crazy thing called Playlist on my computer. I dunno what it even is. hehe.

So I pressed play Track 1, 2, 3 etc songs without titles/artists listed.

Much to my pleasant surprise it was an acoustic set of Radiohead (ok, maybe they're alright!), Dandy Warhols, Patti Smith (Dancin Barefoot), Smashing Pumpkins (couple killer cover tunes canna remember). Anyway, t'was so good I almost thought I'd offer it here.

Fuck it. I won't post a new thread to this effect. But if you've read this much I guess I could spend a Saturday making discs (fair is fair!): if you want me to mail you a mixtape cd of various rarities, then pm me your address. I'm gonna hate myself if I get more than a few responses. But what the hell. Me loves you guys.

Turin Brakes - jackinabox
Scout Niblett - kidnapped by Neptune
Spiritualized - amazing grace ( overrated )
Throwing Muses - throwing muses ( maybe it's their weakest album, but it's still much more better than so many bands... )

I'm now searching what i'll listen to now that my kids are sleeping.
