I think there are a couple of people on here who like this band so I thought I'd JAG on their behalf:

New Blakfish track up at www.myspace.com/blakfish - a second one will be up as a free download soon

Can't wait for Sept 3rd

I remember seeing Blakfish a few times in Birmingham supporting a couple of different bands but I never realised it was them, as they did excite me as they do now.

Do Secondsmile have a new song up too?
I've not read your fascinating mail outs in a while.

They're awesome live

Cracked the floor at The Enterprise Monday night. Too much rock!

Secondsmile have three new tracks up right now (depending on when you last checked their page) - www.myspace.com/secondsmile

ah thanks

Last time I checked I think it was when they just put up "Years". All three are sounding amazing.

Blakfish just keep getting better in my opinion, an opinion which isn't shared by a few friends and even worse by a couple who have scarily similar taste in music to me.

If you could do one thing, don't steal them away from the Midlands too much. It seems bands love to move away as soon as they become awesome and don't come back. In some ways I don't blame them...and there's possibly a few bands that I wouldn't mind someone sending them very far away as possible.

My excitement also extends to seeing Tubelord live, finally, nothing will get in my way this time.

Don't worry

No plans to steal them away from the Midlands. They'll no doubt have a couple of dates there with Tubelord in August/September and many more after that too

I really should've seen these guys on Saturday

in Kingston, but I'd been to Kingston twice already last week. Loved them when they supported Meet Me In St Louis, and their track on the 50 Not Out CD is also ace (which, by the way Kev, was a fucking brilliant idea - Tubelord & Cut The Blue Wire are my two favourite finds off that CD!).

Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it. And just for the record, I don't blame you for not wanting to go to Kingston 3 times in a week! We're just sorting another Blakfish London date for early next month and I think they'll be in K-town again real soon

cool!

i really like this band, i heard their tracks being mixed whilst my band was mixing our cd in the same studio, and had never heard them before but i really liked their tracks!

id defo be up for seeing them

I see they are playing my kneck of the woods

york with tublord in the future I will go and check them out. I like the tune on the 50 not out comp.

The track on 50 Not Out

has been re-recorded for the mini-album and sounds even better now

sweet

I will check that out too then

50not out track..

hasn't been rerecorded, thats from "gold" the track that has been rerecorded is "preparing for guests" which is on the 6 machine release ;)

I have that release on my list to buy

as soon as I have cash. It looks like a cracker. Look forward to seeing ya live too.

oh yeah

oops. I'm getting my Blakfish tracks all confused!

Thanks.

Look forward to checking out later.
