Has anyone seen this?
Possibly my favourite film I've seen for absolute yonks.
Better than No Country For Old Men & There Will Be Blood.

It was incredible and made me and my girlfriend cry ( and the person next to me) at multiple points throughout the film.

I presume you mean

the one about Edith Piaf, and not the one I watched in French class about the boy who wishes he was a girl? Now that was a film.

^

I just rofled loudly at this for some reason.

but it is a VERY good movie. Deserving oscar to whats her face.

I have

and thought that the actress was really good but the film itself wasn't, it was actually pretty bad.
If I remember it correctly she won an Oscar for it or almost did.

yeah she did.

What was wrong with the film? I thought it was done so so well. It looked gorgeous and had me hooked the whole way through.

well

it annoyed me that they kept 'jumping between the times' and that kind of distracted me from what was actually happening.
Also i think that some parts were just not necessary and made the whole thing lengthy.
The way the actress played Edith Piaf made up for it though and I also thought that the music was chosen really well so all in all it wasn't that bad actually :P

I'm going to see this in a few days!

It's playing on the artsy cinema nearby, apparently.

I saw this at the cinema....

about 2-3 months ago. I was pretty disappointed, but my girlfriend saw it twice and enjoyed it. The cinematography was great and I much preferred the acting in the latter half showing her decline but for some reason it didn't engage me much throughout.
