the use of pedal steel often makes me feel ill. i think that's all Mike Mogis' fault, though.
I don't really like it in most of Bright Eyes' stuff... but there is one key exception, I think it sounds amazing on old soul song. assuming pedal steel is what i think it is :b
Plus there's some on Father To A Sister of Thought isn't there? And that's double plus good.
especially Hannah & Gabi. I still think it works on some Hefner stuff though - the end of Lee Remick, for example, is almost unbearably lush.
