after reading a rather intriguing article in this month's wire magazine, i thought i'd give them a listen.
as a consequence, their story, history and sound is genuinely captivating and fascinating.
i'm listening to 'no record' at the moment. anyone else a fan?
No
but by the sounds of it I should be. I read that article too, but as with most thingsss in WIRE I wasn't sure whether to take it as more proselytising over some failed, pop-less experiment or genuine decency.
Decent, then?
obviously if you can appreciate noise/avant garde/noise rock
it's worth it. they're clearly quite influential!
very interesting.
This is why thee Wire is good
the articles are interesting enough to make you want to listen, and you can because they've put samples on the website. Magic.
That said they make everything sound interesting so I haven't got around to listening to an awful lot yet
I
like the way 'spasm' is censored on the boards.
is it?!
oh yeah, god. stupid question, but why?
I
don't know. It's offensive or something?
spas = spaz = short for spastic?
is that it? thats the only thing i can think of.
