The latest addiction for me has been "Bouncing Babies" by The Teardrop Explodes - just can't get enough of that song. Others in recent memory have been "Spring Hall Convert" by Deerhunter and "Night at the Knight School" by Thee More Shallows. Anyone got any pop gems worth mentioning?

i'm now listening an extra twice just so this is true

Yes! You Talk Too Fast
by Johnny Foreigner
i hear about this band on here lots,
maybe tis time i check them out....
^snap!!
.
Sam Cooke - A Change is Gonna Come
i think
the only song ive ever done this for is 'Sargasso Sea' by the Great Depression
think it was
"later" by owls, just cos i haven't listened to it as much as their other songs and wanted to get to know it. fact is, it's just not nearly as good as the rest of the album. before that was probably Joan Of Arc - A Tell-Tale Penis, which i ssemi regularly listen to on loop for hours
i don't think
i've ever done this. I don't like to overplay songs.
Closest i've got is listening to a song about 4 times in an hour probably.
Teen Drama TNV is pretty addictive atm
you run the risk of
overkill indeed, but sometimes every once in a while the pop force is just too strong...
erm
ignition remix by r kelly, in truth.
thats some
catchy sh*t right there!
it is a stunning song
r kelly outdid himself.
especially the music video
...so happy and carefree - a welcome contrast after all the epicness!
mine was....
trapped in the closet pt.1 haha
I'm learning the words.
r kelly - i'm a flirt vs broken social scene
such awesomeness
i swear that song is full of subliminals
vso much do i listen to it.
i do this with all of my songs until i;m sick of them :(
lollipop - lil wayne
icarus smicarus - mclusky
intro to mirocastles - deerhunter
that intro to microcastles
is ace, love how it links into Agrophobia, which is also awesome
I have had Lil' Wayne on loads today
Its pretty good, that track is far to annoying though heheh
i can't stop listenin to it :(
also, the greater than symbol and the hash i must have listened to a good few times today
yeah Sissy Hits
is so good I have been playing that EP alot the last few days. As soon as that 50 scond jobbey at the end kicks off and then just stops it makes you wana replay it all again.
Doves - The Man Who Told Everything
27 times the other night.
Crazy by Gnarls Barkly
My housemate loved this song and played it nearly constantly for 3 months. I enjoyed it at first...
Ahh I think it's this
Perhaps Love
By John Denver and Placido Domingo...I was 7 years old. Not listened to a song 10 times in a row since then. More than 10 times a day maybe but not in a row!!
Race To The King by Cut The Blue Wire
I think the fact it's only 2 minutes long helps, but every time it finishes I just want to hear it again.
...
Headlights - Put us back together right
New Look - So Real
Broken Social Scene - Anthems for a seventeen year old girl
Brian Eno - In dark trees
(just about ten times*)
Ariel Pink- every night i die at miyagis
yum
i also forgot:
Basia Bulat - I was a daughter
<3
Orange Juice - Blue Boy
love the scrappy guitar solos.
Hmm.
URBNRI - Back You Up. I had to review it. The new Morrissey one is up next and it sound EXACTLY the same as his last album...
Women - Black Rice
I need the album.
Big New Prinz by The Fall
DRINK THE LONG, DRINK THE LONG DRAUGHT, DRINK THE LONG DRAUGHT FOR THE BIG PRIEST!!!!!
Fuck Buttons
"Sweet Love for Planet Earth" by Fuck Buttons. Pristine.
Yeah! Buck Futtons!
I am building up to being able to listen to Bright Tomorrow 10 times in a row. You need special training.........
Wind of Change
by Scorpions. Look up epic in the dictionary.
is damn epic
emotional rollercoaster again and again...
Probably something I had to review
I wouldn't listen to song 10 times in a row for pleasure, unless it was the only form of music available. I get bored too easy!
sigur ros - gobbledigook
listened to it on repeat for at least 15 times
Wild Beasts
Devils Crayon.
Sigur Ros
Andvari
i wouldnt listen to a song ten times in a row unless there were extraordinary circumstances. i cant listen to that sigur ros song now, as that was the case.
Animal Collective - Fireworks
What a great summery song.
AC
Animal Collective Brother Sports
Sun Kil Moon - Duk Koo Kim
I have never
listened to a song ten times in a row, isnt that mildly obsessive?
Yeah, I'd say so
It would totally kill it for me as well.
I did fill up one side of a 45 minute tape with The Final Countdown in 1986, that's probably the last time I've done it.
Oh, John.
There are some things best kept private.
I'm surprised you didn't admit to at least one Wet Wet Wet song though.
thats kind of the point,
it has to be that ridiculously addictive that you want to keep going back and discovering more and more and more and more until you kill it.
i suppose
i'd just rather not kill it then
Mind by Talking Heads
i was totally gonna
write that one! great song. also paper and memories can't wait are good off that
Fear of Music is totally the best album
aside by the weakerthans
Probably
the Four Tet remix of Beth Orton's Camella. I've been obsessive listening since I was a kid.
I probably listened to Biffy Clyro's Hope For An Angel 30 times in a row when I first heard it.
brendan canning - churches under the stairs
i've hardly listened to the rest of his album because i keep repeating that one song
saturday
by electrelane
theres somethign about that song....
it cheers me up but it is sad too.
x
Jens Lekman - The Cold Swedish Winter
Absolutely beautiful song about the trepidations of getting to know someone for the first time, with gorgeous male/female harmonies, and some wry lines about "Cliff Richards" and Lou Reed's perceptions of Sweden.
same for me a few months ago
(when it was winter)
Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm
when it first came out. It is a short song though.
Grizzly Bear
Knife.
Possibly Your A Waste
and Becky from Be Your Own Pets new album either ways those songs are strangely addictive.
Elbow
Grounds for divorce
Blake Babies "Out There"
Literally just on my tenth or so play now. *sigh* Juliana Hatfield is love.
