Watch: five classics from Meltdown curators Massive Attack
Posted: 13 Jun '08, 11:16
As the Massive Attack-curated Meltdown Festival hits its stride properly over the coming days, with sets from the Bristolians, Elbow, Fleet Foxes and Fuck Buttons, a Silent Disco featuring Daddy G and many other attractions, DiS celebrates the three-decade-spanning career of the influencial dub/hip-hop/pop/reggae… whatever veterans, whose work since the late ‘80s has rarely dipped in quality. Five videos from five albums. Enjoy.
‘Unfinished Sympathy’ (1991; Blue Lines LP)
‘Karmacoma’ (1994; Protection LP)
‘Inertia Creeps’ (1998; Mezzanine LP)
‘Butterfly Caught’ (2003; 100th Window LP)
‘Live With Me’ (2006; Collected LP, ‘best of’)

Having not heard Unfinished Sympathy for a while
I've just been reminded how totally wonderful it is. Thanks.
I prefer the Tracey Thorn tracks from Protection but the other vids are good choices too.

what a suprise, Fuck Buttons
are involved in this.
Don't get me wrong, I like them, but they're EVERYWHERE!
