Is anyone else's enjoyment of Liquid Swords slightly ruined by the lyrics on this track? You know, "life is a pool of sin, corrupted with foolish men and women with wicked minds, who build picket signs to legalize abortion" and all that business. Oh, Killah Priest.
I had a similar problem with some of the stuff on Ironman.
Call me names until I change my opinion.
does supporting womens rights make you lame?
probably not.
LET THEM THROW THEMSELVES UNDER BICYCLES
WE DON'T CARE FOR WE ARE MEN
Ah shit, it was a horse.
i think its the best track on the album personally
Although i cant say ive listened to it long enough to take into consideration the lyrical content of the track.
Still i cant see anything too wrong with that lyric.
Er
Are you suggesting that saying it's evil to support the legalization of abortion is "supporting womens' rights"?
He clearly isn't
seems obvious enough!
yeah
my enjoyment of Liquid Swords is slightly ruined by the clumsy lyricism and total out-of-placeness of B.I.B.L.E.
none of that gay "respecting women" shit though
Truth
Word
I think it stands out musically
quite a lot as well.
I consider it a 'bonus track'.
GZA doesn't perform on it and RZA didn't produce it.
Also, 'I Gotcha Back' (the song before B.I.B.L.E.) has a quote/sample from the Shogun Assasin film at the end of it, which seems to me like a fitting end to the album - the first track has a Shogun Assasin quote at the begining of it. Also, the final quote/sample's about decapitation, which seems to fit the 'concept' of the album pretty well.
kthxbai.
