Also White Lion.....I still listen to their 2nd album "Big Game".....Vito Bratta the guitarist played some excellent riffs....better than Nuno Bettencourt!

Biggest cock rock gig I saw was Motley Crue, White Lion and Skid Row on the same bill in about 1989....blimey that was a long time ago......bloody great though.

Dude. G'N'R weren't cock rock (well, maybe they became cock, but "Appetite..." was a straight up rock'n'roll record). They were far too raw and had too much punk influence to be 'cock' in the beginning, but I can see that the "Illusions" were rather Cock.

I agree with Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Dave Lee Roth era Van Halen, Kiss, Poison...

Also, LA Guns, Hanoi Rocks, Twisted Sister, Scorpions, Europe, Skid Row (although they might also fall into my G'N'R argument above)...

Neil-mac....yeah seen Decline many times, not for a good few years though...would be great to see it again.

First saw it on late night BBC in the very early 90's.

That season of progs was all about rock and metal etc and had different gigs etc each night.

I remember one night having Metallica live from the justice tour at Hammersmith Odean (as was at that time), Slayer and Napalm Death in one night....you don't get that on terrestrial tv now!

I am not judging your taste rockishere, but it seems that you really like most of the bands mentioned here... (except Led Zeppelin, Mettalica and maybe System of a Down)

Man this thread is AMAZING!!! Most of the bands I really hate have been mentioned! I am glad there are other people that realize the cockness of these bands. They really damaged rock n roll during the 80s mainly...

I think the early Aerosmith albums were rather great. Always a few wanker tunes, to be sure, but that red greatest hits record is a must. One of the first second hand records I bought in the oR Reconstruction period.

Agree early G 'n R (and most of the Illusions were good), Skid Row, and get this one! Cinderella had some catchy cock rock.

Warrent, White Lion or Snake or whatever, Twisted Sister, Kiss (except those really early ones when I was 10 yrs old), Poison - omg! fucking Poison - etc etc were the epitome of shit. Slaughter! Shite. Bryan Adams! Shite. Steve Miller! Shite. Styx! Shite. Foreigner! Shite. REO Speedwagon! Shite. Boston! Shite. ELO! Mostly shite. Striper! Shite. LA Guns* Ultra Mega Shite.
