Wild Beasts recorded a new session with us at Bandstand Busking (www.bandstandbusking.com) in our little project to rejuvenate the underused bandstands of London and beyond.
The guys play unsurprisingly stirring renditions of 'The Old Dog', 'Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants' and 'Cheerio Chaps' if anyone would like a gander...
I dont like Wild Beasts at all but...
This sounds like a fun idea, there are some wicked bandstands and all that kinda thing in Scarborough that could do with some good music played on them.
Your a bit to Londony though I guess
:(
Capitally constrained...
at the minute but hopefully we can get out and about eventually.
Busks on the way with Johnny Flynn, Luara Groves and Frightened Rabbit if any of those are more up your street...
cool
I will keep on checkin it out cheers.
A bit of Flynn and Groves could be worth hearin.
This
is a great idea, nice one,
and frightened Rabbit,
y'know theres a bandstand in Durham, right next to a river :)
Sounds quaint...
Any pictures of it knocking about?
Scott from Frightened Rabbit has been raving about another cracking bandstand up in Glasgow - one equipped with seating that Franz, Mogwai etc started a petition to re-open a while back...

and they fight little tiney battle ships around it sometimes too...
God I feel like a sad stamp collector...
enquiring about all these various bandstands but those two are great... be they slightly hillarious or really quite pretty.
bandstands...
i like the one on hampstead heath...the one nearish the racing track...
x
