is there any reason that a band would finish an album in march/april and not release it until november? it's stupid

because you have to send out press copies
two months in advance.
and you have to start booking touring schedules to coincide.
and you have to arrange for press campaigns.
and stuff.
a four month lead in is generally standard.
no way
that sounds really shit. so these bands just sit on an album for all that time? and then just play those songs for another year? lame.

sometimes they tour to promote it in the space between and see what people think of the new material...which is kinda better than releasing an album anyway.

the gap with that is unusually large, but i would guess it's to fit in with the band's plans especially since bradford is doing the atlas sound thing at the moment.
