Glissando/Her Name is Calla live - worth seeing?

These guys are playing a gig in Cardiff tomorrow, and I've seen their names batted about on this site, so was considering going.

However listening on myspace is not setting me on fire. Are they one of these acts that are just much better live than on record?

My concern is the (relative) quietness of the Glissando vocalist might get drowned out by gobshites talking at the venue

Any thoughts gratefully appreciated

Not seen glissando

yet, will be next week.

But HNIC are well worth seeing live, you should definitely check them out!

yes

indeed

Both bands are brilliant in the flesh

Calla especially are far more affecting live than on record (although i haven't heard their new one)

When i saw them they did a collaborative piece to bridge their sets, didn't stop for nothing, and it was awesome.

This all has persuaded me

Sounds great

Cheers everyone

HNIC

fantastic live. brass section really comes to life in the flesh
