are a band to see in a smoky little venue on a cold night before going for a couple of drinks and then going home and having a poo and getting a brilliant sleep.
IE. the opposite to a festival band. I've never heard of 'fucked up' and by their name, I'd probably hate them, but yeah, them.

I'll be seeing Interpol at Latitude, but were I in your clash dilemma I would DEFINITELY go and watch Fucked Up.
They were INCREDIBLE in Southampton earlier this year, maybe the best show I've ever been to.
Apart from anything else, they're a small DIY band, who knows when you'll be able to see them again?

Aren't really that great live. Apart from the fat nude singer everyone else (especially the lady) just stands there looking like they'd rather be anywhere else.
However the fat nude singer is a highlight. But still ... Interpol because they're a much better band.

They are both fucking quality. It just depends whether you'd prefer PUNK or ROCK. I'd decide on the day if I was you.

appalling live? have you actually seen them? I am aware they have a reputation as a hit or miss live act. I've seen them twice - Brixton and Astoria. The latter was incredible.
