YES!

Manchester

on the 24th too

Fuck it I'm going to all of them.

Yes!

hooray

how far away is brighton from london? im gonna have to arrange transport from nottingham to brighton first

an hour away by train

what does this band sound like?

see below

they remind me a bit of early REM, but more orchestral, more acoustic, more full of love

that sounds tip top

i'll give them a listen after Odd Nosdam. i think it might be the same weekend as offset festival though, hmm.

bump it off

have a weekend trip with us two (if im allowed to tag along)

YEAH!!!!!!

my girlfriend should have her house in brighton sorted by that time in august so might take a trip down there. i'll ask her if you guys can stay :D

awesome

Hidden Camino!

I already said you could!

You can crash at mine after London (and Brighton) if you want.

that'd be lovely

i'll be able to find us a place for manchester.

I have friends in Manc too

The Manchester gig also clashes with the city's gay pride celebrations so I imagine it'll be pretty lively!

i think im going to do a tour diary with the band

fitting this into it would make it fun. what exactly are the celebrations?

Listen to

The Smell of Our Own, one of my favourite albums ever.

If you're against songs about piss sex you may not be a fan.

haha

piss sex?! sounds like fun. i'll give it a listen and see what it's like. after Odd Nosdam.

Aye, 1 hour

the last train back to London is about 11:40pm. The London gig is about 10 mins away from me. Good times!

That's the bank holiday weekend

Dammit, I'm back up in Newcastle.

heaven

but seedier

i didnt realise at the time how short that review was. or how shit it was.

Hooray!

Love this band.

FUCK YES

i bought tickets this morning but am still massively excited. i was planning to go to every show next time they toured, but i can't go to brighton so :(. but still :D

tempted by manchester

definitely london (with my dad!). persuade me to go to manchester. i feel like i want to.

WHY?!

Does this have to be the same weekend as Reading festival?! Damn it.

Brighton West Hill Hall....

is a 'bring your own booze' venue too!! Excellent.

fook!

why only two dates!?

Right

who's doing all 3 then?

Getting to Manchester from London on the Sunday is looking like a bus affair. Bloody track works.

really?

i'm going to london and manchester. bought train tickets to manchester the other day, but can't really see any mention of engineering works on the national rail site....am i missing something?

i hope not!

Where did you book?

Thetrainline came up with about 4 changes, one of which was a bus!

i booked with virgin

but just realised i did it for 24 july instead of 24 august, so i've had to be refunded and get news tickets etc so i've lost about £40 :(

don't think i have any problems with buses though as i'm going from colchester and going around london rather than through and from it.

The Manchester one

is an alternative Pride night at Club Brenda. That means all the cool queers will be there, and it'll be totally brilliant. Fuck you Canal St.

awesome

you can 'queer eye for the straight guy' the fuck out of me

Yeah

I know the gig putting it on, sounds like it's going to be a top night.

guy = gay

:D

This is this weekend!

Are we excited?

yes!

i get to see them twice in two nights.

:D

What time do you get in to Manchester?

Do you fancy getting a drink before the gig? Myself and Jordan arrive around 6:30 I think

can't wait

saw them in nottingham a couple of years ago and it's definitely the best gig I've ever seen at the social. One of the funnest gigs I've ever been to. The violin player looked quite incongruous as he looks like an american footballer but he was the happiest person I think I've ever seen on stage ever. Awesome. See you in shoreditch.

I got up onstage with them

to play tambourine at that gig! Good times.
