I am going there for a few days this weekend and wondered if you kind folks could reccomend me some good-

1. Pubs/ bars
2. Clubs/ 'indie discos' Urgh, hate that phrase but you know what I mean.

3. Restaurants/ cafes.

Any other things of interest to do will be appreciated, I am going to track Chris Eubank down for sure.

to make up for lame joke

Don't go to the Pav Tav

it's fucking dogshit. Do go to Arc on the seafront and tell me what it's like because the burly cunt on the door wouldn't let me in on saturday night.

Also, pretending you're the Connect4 Champion from whichever town you happen to come from and taking on and beating everyone who challenges you in some pub in Hove is recommended. You'll be fighting back the birds with a spare Connect4 leg.

haha

I have read some very bad things about the doormen there. A few clubs where people have been thrown out for next to nothing or people not allowed in due to being disabled. Yikes.

They are cunts

They wouldn't let some of my friends in because they weren't from Brighton and then the tosspot called one of my friends a fat slag (she is neither) because she was from Findon. I informed him that she may be from Findon but at least she wasn't a fat, balding, ginger cunt. I haven't been back since.

the hope, and

prince albert are nice pubs, if you want to experience somewhere less bustly and more spacious than brighton town centre then definitely go to hove, i love it there, there are some nice pubs there too, you can take a train there from brighton station or lots of buses go there! umm go shopping in the laines, eat nice food from there, Sussex and the City and Bill's Produce store are my favourites, especially the latter, its amazing :D oh, if you're there on sunday go to the car boot sale in the station car park :D and go to the market type-thing thats on the road next to the laines, i can't remember what its called but its on the way to cybercandy, i saw a pentax camera there for £6! and foolishly did not buy it.:(

oh i miss brighton, i can't wait to move back!

Speak to yesiamaduck

he knows it all when it comes to brighton

Snoopers Paradise

...is the shop disappear is referiing to. It's well worth a visit.

Allow me a tiny JAG here and suggest you visit BABIES at The Hope, Queens Rd this Friday 18th if you're around. An 'indie' night with a diverse, but not chin strokingly pretentious, playlist. Also live bands CRANE BROTHERS and FLASHGUNS playing. www.myspace.com/babiesclub

Otherwise, if it's sunny you should take a (brief) walk on the pier, eat fish n' chips at the very nice and very reasonable Regency Restaurant, lounge about for a bit in the Pavillion gardens and generally wander about the lanes stopping in these pubs...

The Heart & Hand
The Albert
The Basketmakers

Freebutt

at phoenix place most nights they have a live band playing, otherwise the Hope in Queens road straight down from the station or The Albert in Trafalgar street it's the road that goes under the station forecourt. A cherryripe bar in Cybercandy is always a must for me.
Resident Records in Kensington Gardens (north laines) has a list in the window of gigs they have tickets for, might find something there to do
