unlabel are a great institution but i doubt they have sold 345k albums, unlike the PDs!

....no direct relation (i.e. i don't have any say in what unlabel releases or what happens at the forum) although we have joint released the elks album. can you explain what you mean by the last part of your sentence - was it friendly fire??

...for a moment i thought i was going to have to justify my stance on the detectives (as i don't like to call them - in fact i've never called them that before and never will again). thanks for the kind words. both elks and great outdoors are in london. the elks album was partly recorded with guy denning at the granary studio in kent - home of many an unlabel band and that's possibly because guy is one of best, most competent and nicest men you'll ever meet in music - and the band did the rest themselves.

Although these days it's more of a solo act, but still, it's the loudest damn solo act in the country (Josh Pearson isn't still over here is he?)

we have a single due out on Fortuna Pop in Sept and are recording an album to be finished end of August but Fortuna Pop aren't putting that out (largely i think because of the hip-hop tracks on it - no joke).
