big Bob Mould fan, if only for his work in WCW. I've only heard 'If I Can Change Your Mind', and really like it - which of their albums are of a similar theme to that song?

Cheers friends.

Copper Blue.

Classic album, that's the one to go for. Beaster is also excellent, but in a totally different way.

cheers pal

I second that

Copper Blue is an amazing and 'If I Could Change Your Mind' is a good pointer for the type of quality stuff on there.

Surely It's 'If I can't change your mind'?

Anyway the advice of JGJug is solid.
Pedant of the day?

copper blue

is great.after not hearing it for years i picked it up in greenwich market for 3 quid!listen for the pixies rip off on "good idea" though

Save your coin

and get some Husker Du- he did all his best work with them.

Good point

you really don't want to bother with Sugar till you have got all the Husker Du stuff,

Unless you don't want to

and, you know, want to listen to Sugar without having to listen to Husker Du.

A point, not sure it makes much sense

Husker Du records are infinelty more enjoyable and rewarding to listen to

copper blue.

on the same label that bought you 'definitely maybe', unbelieveably.

NME

It was an NME 'Best of Creation' CD that got me into Sugar. I didn't bother listening to it for months because it looked shite, but eventually I did because I realised NME gave Album of the Year to Copper Blue and I thought that was bizarre. The CD had JC Auto on it and it became one of my favourite songs ever.

JC Auto

Is one of my favourite songs ever too.

----

The steam from Bob Mould's piss>>>>>> both Gallagher brothers.

I'd taped John Peel...

... and 'man on the moon' was cut off at the end of the tape and I had no idea who it was.
It took me ages to find out it was Sugar and buy Copper Blue, but it was well worth it, it is a true great.

Quality mate

Youve got a whole world of awesome lps to go at.

See him live too he does tons of Husker Du and Sugar tracks!
