your individual quirks.

I can't sleep.

My brother and I were discussing individual quirks in ourselves and ones we'd notice in others.

I chew the inside of my mouth. Not because I am hungry, it's probably some boredom defelctor that I created when I was little. Been doing it for years.

My brother divulged to me that when he has a poo and he wipes his bum he looks at it (the mangled, soiled tissue, that is) before he flushes it down.

Nice.

Then I rembered one of my ex flatmates used to put SALT on her bacon when she was frying it up, and another friend of mine FREAKED out whenever someone put their toothbrush in the same cup on the sink, even though there was only one cup.

        i have a particular way of smoking. i always twiddle the fag end around in my hand when i tap the ash and apparently whet my lips at the same time quite often.
        i don't even notice it.

    as well. I think its stress related or something. I bite my nails and lip too, usually due to nerves.

  • I like sleeping with my feet over the end of my bed

    I sleep with my eyes not fully shut and i play with my hair alot more than a boy should. There are lots of other things, but i expect i'm not alone in them

    • Hmmm.

      I had 3 pointed out to me by my brother as I was giving him a lift to the station earlier. -All driving related.

      1/I never take my hand off the gearstick even in an automatic.
      2/I lean into corners. (I think that comes from riding a motorbike.)
      3/I can't say 'Road holding.'

      Oh, and I'm apparently bad tempered for telling him he could always get out and walk.

        1) I always have to line up beer mats with the corner of the table I sit at.

          is normal for me. My boyfriend on the phone talks to me as if he's phoning up for a job interview. He is always like.. "yep. yep. BYE."

    I have to have the volume on an even number. It winds me up so much if it isn't! And doors have to be fully open or shut, not inbetween.

    I stretch my hair into my mouth and chew it, which kinda hurts. I can yank big chunks of my hair out without it hurting at all.

  • I always stand with my legs crossed

    Then put my left foot behind my right foot. Apparently it looks uncomfortable, but I can assure you it isn't. I also twitch when I'm listening to music on my ipod, but I don't really notice it until someone points it out or gives me weird looks.

    in comparison to everyone i have ever compared breathing with. is this a quirk? someone just told me to do it once to help calm myself and it stuck since then.

  • i bite my mouth

    so it always looks like i am posing for a myspace photo.
    i can't touch dry wood, so when i open an ice lolly, i start licking the wooden stick bit first, then i can hold it.
    i touch my hair a lot.
    one of my front teeth has a tiny dent at the bottom that i run my tongue along all the time.
