No
i don't smoke
Yes
Cos I hate life.
sometimes
passes the time
Only on a friday
as my week at work is "stressful" and smoking calms my mind down alot
only fish
and assorted charcuterie
No
smells, don't like eating tar
Yeah
cos it's fun and something to do when you go out walking a lot and are bored of having two hands in your pockets the whole time. And it makes people give you bad looks and makes me look a bit older which is always appreciated. And I like dependancy.
actually, scrap that
I SMOKE COS I'M HOPING FOR AN EARLY DEATH
AND I NEED TO CLING TO SOMETHING
smoking gives you cancer
rhythm is dancer (8)
no but I did
because it makes you look super cool, hott and sophisticated...
yeah
because it's a cool way to kill yourself
sometimes
because there's nothing better to do - to pass the time, like Klaire says.
and to look totally fucking cool
i do
because i enjoy it
yep
why? Because I want to.
Cheers
you smoke?
you really actually smoke? as in biscuity jack smokes? how curious
only because i'm metal
Yes
Why? I like it.
why?
Fills in those irritating 'waiting for something' gaps.
Gives me five-minute relaxy breaks from being indoors.
Looks cool.
hardly ever now!
i'm "cutting down" but it's only been a few weeks.
sellout
i know :(
don't worry though. come saturday i'll be puffin away again
like a chimney
Nope
though people always think I do.
?
For some reason people will offer me a cigarette and I'll decline
and they'll say don't you smoke?
And I'll say I never have and they always respond with 'I thought you did, you look someone who would smoke.'
hell no
yes
it's quite pleasant, and regulates my day nicely.
which reminds me, 3.00 fag break time
yes
because i can't smoke a spliff in public.
yes
i enjoy it and hope it makes me appear more interesting. maybe.
Yes
I smoke because there is nothing better than a fortuna and a cup of coffee in the garden on a sunny morning.
yes
why? 5 failed attempts at quitting
yes
I smoke because I'm addicted and I enjoy it
exactly
Er no I don't
Good
Neither do I
I don't smoke cigarettes
I don't smoke cigars
I don't smoke a pipe
pipe
pipe
pipe
pipepipepipe
ppppppppppppppppppppp
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
ppppppppppppppp
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I DON'T SMOKE DER REEFER
CAN EVERYONE STOP GETTTTTTINNNN SSSSSHHOOOTTTT
My name's not Paul
:)
If anyone messes that up
I'll kill them
yeah lots
Nope
but I have a cigar that needs smoking.
No
it kills you, is expensive and doesn't even get you high
It doesn't kill you
cancer and other diseases related with it kill you.
only the odd spliff
never fags though. Don't see the attraction really.
i didn't realise there were so many smokers
i thought lots were anti-smoking here
Some smoke, some don't like smoking
The lunar ballet goes on
between 25 and 33% of the population
apparently, depending on which statistics you read.
which begs the question, why don't we stand up for ourselves more?
i do. i wanna quit though.
but i do enjoy it. and it passes the time. and you meet people through smoking, some of whom are pretty girls. plus you look well cool, until you die anyway.
I just quit
it's been a week. Feeling pretty good.
Yes,
it's a way to pass the time like Klaire says and I'm probably addicted to it even though I don't want to admit it. Anyhow I'm cutting down now.
used to ALOT (like, 40ish per day)
Now i only do it if drinking, but not very occasionally
40 a day#/!?"
yeah; it wasn't very nice.
Then i got down to 30, then 20, then 10, then got rid of all cigs bar the morning and drinking ones, then cut the morning ones and most of the drinking ones out.
No
and I hate everyone that does
...
smoking looks so cool, but Ive never got around to doing it.
Intrestingly, due to the flux and repair of cells, which does not slow down until mid-late thirties, you can smoke (moderatly), give up before you are thirty and do little or no damage to you life expectancy.
amy winehouse is living proof of that.
...
almost 3 months of quittage for meeee!
oh yeahhhh.
only when drinking
because it's lovely
I do not smoke
I smoked for 15 years
I quit 10 weeks ago now and feel bloody brilliant for it.
It's not easy, but am doing it with zero patches and £100% will power....it's worked so far.....not a single fag in 70 days...get in!
It can be done....you just need to concentrate.
yeah thats the way i did it too!
and going on for about 10 weeks too i think. complete willpower, yeah no point in patches. if you need them, you clearly aren't ready to quit.
Anyways, well done!!
Cheers bsoucek
and to you!
Yay for the non smokers hehehe.
I'm not smug.
i am a bit.
:D
No,
I have recently gone cold turkey.
Yes, I would quite like a cigarette right now.
^
I to went cold turkey on fri..defo could smoke now though :(
Keep it up you two ^^^^^
I'm thinking it may be the worst way to quit.
Gradually getting it out of your system is probably far better than going from all to nothing.
Well this is the thing though
you end up treating addiction by feeding yourself with ther drug you are trying to wean yourself off of....yeah I read the Alan Carr book and it does make a lot of sense.
Cold turkey is the only way but you have to really concentrate......at times when drunk I think....ahhhh...lovely fags but haven't given in yet......waking up the next morning and not feeling as crap as I normally would do after a heavy night and knowing that I didn't smoke is a good feeling.
NO
NO, NEVER, NO. IT'S A DISGUSTING HABIT
No
hate the smell & I don't like cancer apparantly it's not very good for you
Only when I am exposed to direct sunlight
Bla bla bla!
Yes.......
not very much though.
Except at festivals where I am a chaining MACHINE.
Nope
the reason for smoking as it passes the time
is probably one of the worst reasons for anthing ever
Better or worse than 'it looks cool'?
worse
because regrettingly even though i do hate smoking it can look slightly cool
and being cool can get you pretty girls
which is better than passing the time
yeah
i limit myself to about 5-6 a day. however, if i'm drinking/at a festival i can happily smoke my way through 20 packs.
i do it because i really like it. i'm pretty healthy otherwise so i don't see it as a problem.
"i'm pretty healthy otherwise so i don't see it as a problem."
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
what
.
Contradiction? ^^^^^^
you think it's fine to smoke because
you're "pretty healthy otherwise"?
Dude, srsly, how can that make any sense?
IMO
smokers should fuck off somewhere else. i don't want to breath in your smelly deadly fumes, and i don't want to pay for your damaged to lungs to be held together that little bit longer until you slowly die, thanks.
^ argh
there's so much wrong with this post. so much...
i agree that some of it is wrong
explain to me then, please?
well
1.passive smoking has been massively hyped up, to the brink of mass hysteria, to be something far far greater than there is any reasonable evidence to say that it is. yes, it's bad, but there are far worse things for your health that you encounter on a daily basis, and you don't get all puffed up (no pun intended) and self righteous about.
2.if the smell bothers you, tough shit. your dress sense probably bothers people. you wouldn't stand for someone whinging about taking it elsewhere. if that became mass opinion though, you'd have to. bet you wouln't be too pleased.
3.you're not paying a penny. how many times does this argument need repeating before a single anti-smoker takes note? all the medical treatment that you or anyone you know have ever received has been more than covered in taxes from cigarettes. about five times over in fact.
4.you're mean.
