was pretty good.
i thought there were a lot of Brits at SXSW and Coachella but seriously.. i swear 90% of the festival were either from London or Liverpool.
Justice' Live Set, Hot Chip and Sigur Ros were highlights followed closely by My Bloody Valentine, Gnarls Barkley and My Morning Jacket.
i would post more but i'm tired and i smell. i made a rather rookie error of remembering my tickets bag but not my actual clothes bag which didn't get thrown in the car hence i've been in some amazingly stripey pink short swimming trunks for a week which i will post evidence of a bit later after i've showered.
ps. anyone else go to These New Puritans at 3am and decide they were distinctly shit?

exactly the reason I stopped going to Benicassim. I don't want my festival experience ruined by lads on tour.
If thats the kind of thing that ruins a festival for you
then your a bit of a dick. Yes there were alot of cunts there, but isnt that always the case, you dont have to talk to these people and there easily avoided, provided you go see the right bands, namely Battles, Spiritualized, The BJM, My Morning Jacket, Booka Shade, Kiki Dj and a whole lot more I dont remember. Best Beni Ive ever been to.
...are you a lad on tour?
yeah
most of the people i talked to had no idea about any of the bands, and were more interested in the tamborine playing in the beer tent (which was pretty cool).
apart from that, 9/10. had an amazing time, met loads of cool people, finally saw battles and justice, and the 2 hour erol set was something special.
oh yeah
incredible tan too. ;)
Benicassim rules! I went in 2005
I am definately going to go again next year. It's the ultimate festival.
There is a heavy contingent of Brits, but there is no bad atmosphere whatsoever.
I saw These New Puritans at Latitude at 3 in the afternoon on Saturday, and I decided they were shit then.
I went in 2002 & 2003
and the amount of Brits annoyed me then. There were only 3 of us as well.
I went in 2006
And whilst I had a great time there was an abnormally large amount of belters there
These New Puritans...
are awful.
world tour?

ive been thinking about it
and that week actually really fucking ruled.

especially this.
These New Puritans
were average. I thought that Richard Hawley, The National, MBV, Black Lips and Sigur Ros did it for me, amazing. I think the incredibly posh bastards wound me up more than the lads on tour to be honest.
2005 best year ever!
My favourite ever holiday, 2006 was good but this year was so full of Brits. Can hardly complain seeing as I'm one of them though! Anyway they can be avoided and as logn you enjoy the music, who cares!
Best act this year (were there NO Brits at all as no one know them) were Vive La Fete. The closing act, fucking awesome. Going watching them in Valencia next month.
