my local bands are between two winters, when deep sleep falls, destroy a perfect, real friends break chairs, the 13th theory, the mascara story(brothers friends), acidtone, tainted perfection and fixation. what is your local bands?

Re: local bands

mr barry scott, i ordered that ivory springer album...should be here soon, what can i expect, reviews were positive but i dont know what to expect.....maritime themed post rock...? :S

Re: local bands

Well, do you know Shellac? They're very much like them, but not quite so dour, with a hint of slint about them as well. Kinda angular, abrasive guitar, stop-start rhythms and songs in a maritime theme. You'll understand when you see the thing and hear the lyrics. Track 2 is entitled The Submariner Song and is the best example of their style, it's the one I'd put on a mixtape for someone who hadn't heard Ivory Springer. Enjoy!
