Re: blood brothers

...Burn Piano Island, Burn or March on Electric Children

Re: blood brothers

You know what, I found that at Leeds they were OK but they lost something in the big tent.

Buying wise I would buy Crimes as that was what the set comprised of bar one song or Burn Piano Island Burn.
These two albums should be the easiest to find anyway.

Re: blood brothers

well if thats them at merely "okay" strength then ... double wow ... and i think i shall be checking out crimes

thanks :)

Re: blood brothers

They certainly lost something at Reading. I love them but I could barely make out what song they were playing, if I hadn't known the albums, I would have been pretty bored I imagine. This isn't their fault though, the sound at Reading was shockingly bad.

Re: blood brothers

As I said in another thread, I love this band and they are one of the best live bands around, but at Reading it was very mediocre. I blame it on a Crimes centred set and abysmal sound. Seriously, I couldn't hear what they were singing most of the time. Very dissapointing still at least I have the memory of the Underworld show.

Re: blood brothers

make sure you get their cover of under pressure off soulseek... you won't regret it!

Re: blood brothers

Rumours Laid Waste and Crimes are both pretty much spot-on!

Re: blood brothers

I've never heard such a shit band in my life. Really.

Re: blood brothers

Care to elaborate on that point?

Re: blood brothers

Well i mean what's to like?

Not my sorta thing at all.

Re: blood brothers

They were the highlight, other than Pixies, of Leeds for me. I actually thought the sound was great but they do lose something outside of a small club setting. I haven't seen then play so much Crimes stuff before so I didn't mind, I saw them a few times on the BPIB tour where we got all Adultery, March and Burn songs, so that wasn't such a big deal.

And at least they chose Cecilia and The Silhouette Saloon to play from BPIB :)

Re: blood brothers

Eeeek so they did... I had it in my head that it was 100% Crimes.

Re: blood brothers

Burn Piano Island Burn is the one to start with. I love those camp little pink monkeys.

Re: blood brothers

It's got the best bass/keyboard line ever written by them, the one for the intro.

Re: blood brothers

Definitely Burn, Piano Island, Burn first. After that hook up This Adultery Is Ripe, March On Electric Children, then Crimes, finishing with the EP.

Good band, i like.

Re: blood brothers

One of my favourites at Leeds, the sound was excellent for them, could even hear the maracas over the screaming on peacock skeleton... and I only know Crimes and BPIP so that set was perfect..

Re: blood brothers

Cecillia and Silhouette Saloon has one of the best intros and outros. Superb track! I heard that its really difficult to get burn, piano island, burn on Cd now.
