I try not to say anything rude about Flogging Molly cause horses for courses and all that...

Electric Eel Shock never did it for me on record. One of the best live bands around though.

Personally I am loving the new(ish) Wives album and am liking Animal Collective with the new album being ace and all.

"Dear Mr and Mrs Troublemaker" by the AGSFB was so overplayed by me last summer I don't even have to listen to it anymore. It's permenantly embeded in my head. I'm not sure that's a good thing.

i like The White Sport and a band called Xerox Teens who have a great Raincoats/Gang Of Four/Wire style song called 'How To Reduce The Chances Of Being A Terrorist Victim'....which probably sounds quite boring but then it finishes in this totally unexpected Blur style of knees up...promising band

I thought Editors were fantastic at Scala a couple of weeks ago.

The Priory are ace, we've played a million gigs with them now and I never get sick of any of their tunes.

KT Tunstall's been the best new thing I've heard this year, though. I love her. Mmmm yes.

I only learnt it wasn't an i when they played dublin castle (not that long ago)... I felt very silly indeed. :-) Still feel silly - I can't stop calling them i forward, it just sticks. Lots of 'I' bands about at the mo I've noticed.

bright eyes. i've got i'm wide awake its morning and i love it; wasnt sure at first with the abundance of slide gee-tars but the lyrics are so damn fine and his voice is so damn sweet... thats my newest musical discover, courtesy of borders' listening posts where i actually managed to hear the whole album before i bought it rather than just snippets
