They've attracted a lot of brilliant reviews and I've agreed with them all. Anyone else heard them/ got the EP/ seen them?

Re: Fear Of Music
I haven't heard of them. Is there a website? Doing a web search for Fear Of Music doesn't help because the name isn't different enough.
Thanks
Re: Fear Of Music
you can hear four of their songs from the EP on www.myspace.com/fearofmusicmcr
the official website is www.fearofmusic.tk but it's pretty minimal and very rarely updated as it's maintained by one of the band.
Re: Fear Of Music
There was 2 songs to download on their website months ago ( i think they are on the ep ).
Some good bits, some bad bits.
Will wait to see how they evolve, as they are really young apparently.

What? You sound like Simon Cowell.
I hope you regret that statement.
Re: Fear Of Music
Who is Simon Cowell ?
Was just trying to say that it's very early for them and that they might become interesting someday.
Re: Fear Of Music
The music's good, even though my non-broadband connection means I can hear only a few seconds at a time.
Re: Fear Of Music
You can also download Skin & Bones from nme.com. Yeah they are young, all between the ages of 19-15.

Re: Fear Of Music
I have their EP, I think I found it cheap somwhere and just bought it. Not a fan to be honest, they seem to be trying quite hard to sound like radiohead... meh.. I've not listened to it much though.
Re: Fear Of Music
I think they are big fans of Radiohead too. Not very inspired, sub-placebo..
Re: Fear Of Music
I got their ep on the bases of Skin and Bones and its alright but very good if you consider they're all 16.
Re: Fear Of Music
pretty terrible 3rd rate muse rip off, if you ask me.
maybe that's a bit harsh, i guess if i hadn't heard muse, radiohead or placebo, or i could forgive them for the total lack of originality in their music, the songs aren't too bad.
Re: Fear Of Music
I can hear influences in it, but I don't think they sound like total rip-offs at all.
When I heard The Waltz I was struck by how totally different it sounded. And the lyrics seem so mature for someone who's 17, as do the vocals actually.
Re: Fear Of Music
Yes they're a bit young to be 'very inspired' but they have pretty good songs. Could be a decent band if the record company allows them to grow away from their apparent influences.
