Re: triplets in bellville

Really good film, all music and sound, no words

I went to belleville in France. Its rubbish, don't go.

Re: triplets in bellville

Really good movie.

I actually live rue de Belleville in Paris...

Re: triplets in bellville

ok. awsome...

i wanna see it now.

dammit all.

Re: triplets in bellville

I know it under the title "Bellevue Rendezvous". "The Triplets of Bellevue" is the original French title, I think.

It is a great movie - but it's not made by the same people who made Spirited Away.

Re: triplets in bellville

yeah and they also made "Howls moving castle" which is out now in your screeeeeens and it is liek totally rad, skewiff love story, a talking fireplace and propoganda war stuff, funny, ridiculous, moving,... its the best film out now.

Re: triplets in bellville

AMAZING FILM, funny and beautiful to look atWhat a combination eh?

Re: triplets in bellville

The Wicked Witch of the Waste, a scarecrow, a cowardly lion (well....actually a human wizard but near enough). Sound familiar? But yeh, shits on Grave of the Fireflies and Castle in the Sky. But not as good as Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke.

But what is up with Grave of the Fireflies? Is its purpose to be shown in schools teaching children about war? Really fucking disapointing.

Re: triplets in bellville

oh, it seems i was misinformed. well, as long as its good. i just heard that there was barely any talking, but it was BEAUTIFUL! and it was also funny, so i was wondering... you know.
well, thanks.

Re: triplets in bellville

There was some sort of panel thing a year or two ago latish on beeb 2 hosted by Jonathon Ross where they were judging the best animated film of the year and it was Belleville and Spirited Away and some others. So maybe that's where you've got the link from.

Belleville won, even though all the panelists seemed to prefer Spirited, I think JR had the final say and I don't think it was entirely coincidental that beeb 2 had the rights to broadcast belleville immediately afterward.

It's a very unique film, I've not seen anything like it. Though there's some quite heavy handed anti-americanism in there.
