Theres a family of Balloons. Mummy, Daddy and Baby. Baby Balloon sleeps in the bed with Mummy and Daddy and has done for years, but the time comes when Mummy Balloon decides enough is enough. She tells Daddy Balloon to have a word with Baby: he has to sleep in his own bed from now on.

During the night Baby gets scared and creeps into his parent's room but sees that Mummy and Daddy are squashed together tightly with no way he can fit in between them. So he undoes Mummy's knot and lets some air out. There's still not enough room so he undoes Daddy's knot and lets some air out of him but there's still not enough room. So Baby Balloon undoes his own knot and lets out all his air until there is finally enough room.

In the morning, Mummy and Daddy are very angry and disappointed - Daddy Balloon takes Baby Balloon to one side and says: "Son, you've let me down, you've let your Mummy down, but most of all you've let yourself down!"
