starrrrrbucks are evil
a friend of a friend went to kfc at 11pm, unfortunately fell asleep in the toilets and was stillt here at 5am, had to set off the fire alarms in order to get out. whoops. random almosty irrelevant story i know.
chocolate soup is yummy
avalanche too is yummy, also in similar horribly sickly i'm-doing-something-very wrong-but-hey-it-feels-so-good kind of way.
although beanscene's (i keep wanting to call it beatscene) hotchocolates are damn fine too, with many marhsmallows and creeeeame.
damnit.
i went to the stupidly named GIG tonight for the first time, they still have far too many schemies there, but the sound is pretty good and the subways and terra diablo were both mighty fine.
I was there last year looking at all the pretty buildings.
The Scottish Parliament is less deserving od a twenty grand prize than Chocolate Soup. Not, because it's bad, but you feel so much warmer and fuzzier after sitting on those big cubey seat things eating pure melted chocolate...

Today I bought Interpol's TOTBL, PiL's Greatest Hits, Chris T-T's London is Sinking and 7" singles from Arctic Monkeys (doing my bit to beat the sugababes), The Research and Bloodhound Gang. I love money and more importantly having it.
Went to Rough Trade and got - Bumblebeez EP for £2, Mondo Generor/Nick EP for £3 and then in Fopp I got a longwave album for £1 cos it was produced by Dave Fridmann and I thought "ooh this might be good"

* I'm not sure if it lives up to the accolades it's been receiving, but I like it. I'm just wondering if gal's voice isn't gonna wear on me (it's a Bjork-ish little girl voice that I usually assoiciate with novelty acts). The music itself has ADD (toned down from previous outings I gather) and yet is still rather accessible. Very cool punchy guitar riffs.
