It doesn't need to be said, but I'm gonna say it anyway: Happy Songs For Happy People is the mutt's nuts. 'Golden Porsche' - wha da fuh? But a slice of genius nonetheless. Ver Gwai's best work to date. Less certain about Radiohead; I liked it instantly - which I've never done with a Radiohead album before, not even The Bends or OK Comp - but I'm gradually getting less certain by the play. There's some great stuff on it, but also a hefty proportion of filler. Plus the last two times I've played it, we've had a power cut... Also, just wanted it noted that the DiS website is evil: I have no money and yet it persists in telling me about all the records that I want to buy! Must stick to my stringent budget... fuck it, I'll have to make an exception for the SFA!
