saw ...trail of dead play in cov on tuesday, and i think my hearing has just about recovered. 2 drummers, feedback seeping from every speaker, general loudness. however, the main reason i was deafened was because i was not 15ft away from them, since they played in the left wing of the colliseum to no more than 150 people.
this. is. wrong.
the music (and you can take that either as the band who played there a fortnight ago, or the sound and stage presence trail produced) filled the main room (about 800 capacity? i don't know), so what happened? why do i care? they're on tour with audioslave, and they only played here because they had a day off and conrad was born in bedworth. i suppose it just annoys me that people don't take advantage of great bands when they grace us with our presence. fools.
in other news, i've managed to order glassjaw's 'everything you ever wanted to know about silence' debut for free. yay ipoints.
