On Monday I bought the following music stuff. The Fall - Live at London 1980 Burn To Shine - Part 1 DC The Fall's Live at London is apparently the legendary limited edition tape which has been sutiably remastered. Not that you would have known it from the quality. The balance of instruments which can be crap sometimes on live tapes isn't that bad. The guitars are a little quiet and M.E.S is a little overbearing but it's all good. Personal highlights for me include New Face in Hell, English Scene, Jawbone and the Air-rifle and Cary Grants Wedding. In my personal opinion it's not as good as A part of America Therein but seeing that i'm getting nearly 80 mins of live Fall and only paid £6 for it, I'm not going to argue too much. Burn to Shine is a DVD where bands play in a house which is going to be demolished. The bands play to no crowd, and were just asked to bring their equipment along. (the Evens do play to a few kids though) This first in the series has bands from Washington DC in which will always attract me anyway! The quality is good, it's all in black and white. Personal highlights on this one include Weird War and Q and not U. I'd even get my dancing shoes on for them! I think there is a second one coming out for bands from Chicargo which includes Shellac which I know will excite a few people.
