My god that was the best gig I've ever been to. They were just stunning. Their performance was so passionate it felt like they were drawing blood with each guitar chord they played, I shit you not.
They played most of The Meadowlands and a couple of older songs. Everyone Choose Sides was piledriving, Boys You Won't Remember was glorious and ended up with almost the entire front row on the stage assaulting random percussion instruments, and the encore of Thirteen Grand and She Sends Kisses was the best thing ever.
I failed to identify any DiSers but that was more than made up for by having a 10 minute conversation with Charles Bissell (guitarist/singer, the guy on the right of the stage for those who were there) after the gig. I'm pretty sure I was a babbling idiot but he was very nice and good conversation and he promised they'd be back in January for a longer tour.
The Borderline's an excellent venue too and the crowd were great, there were loads at the front anyway who were well into it and screaming back every word. My throat is sore, that's for sure.

I didn't have a ticket or anything but they were still selling yesterday I think.

Twas indeed very good. I probably wouldn't go quite as far as OceanStorm with my praise, as I thought it did lose focus slightly in some places, but it was a great great show.

I forgot to mention that The Favours were very good in support, I'd not heard of them before but I liked them a lot.
The Wrens also said they're playing another gig at the Barfly in Camden on Saturday, I can't make that unfortunately but if anyone missed out this time they should definitely go!

from the past, I remember this from first time round, and thinking this band must be good. So I checked them out, and was not disappointed. I really want to go and see them, but my friends are twats who probably wouldn't like them if I played them any of their stuff. I suppose I don't really know until I've played them a few songs, but not even worth trying, theyre into bands like the Fucking Paddingtons. ARGGGGGGG.
