Dear Noel,
The fact you want to be the biggest band in the world should be a dream you've long since got over. It disapointed me after What's the Story when you tried to make music which would fit into American radio whilst consuming copious amounts of white powder whilst it and you were going out of fashion quicker than mod haircuits.
It truly disapoints me that someone who could potentially write an interesting pop song decides to write music which will fit into the bland land of modern radio. Have you heard James Blunt and Dido? Do you love the way they're trying to be as dull as possible to sell the most records as possible?

As soon as someone tries to do something exciting (Bloc Party), or listenable (Kaiser Chiefs) or danceable (Franz Ferdinand), he gets jealous and starts mouthing off as if he's written a good song in the last ten years. Which he hasn't. And, what's wrong with wanting to be the biggest band in the world? Nothing, as long as it's about writing good, new, fresh, different songs, not just ones that people will buy. Noel Gallagher and Oasis remind me of reality TV: it was different to start off with, and people still like it, but aren't we all getting a little tired of it now it's been going on for so long, basically unchanged?
