Pink Flamingo Nights are putting on an all-day gig on Saturday October 26th at the Railway Inn in Winchester.

Tickets are a very reaonable £5 for eight bands. Doors open at 5pm, and the DJs will continue until the bar closes at midnight. Plus free sweets - what more could you want?

The Railway: one of the worst venues to see a good band. May I ask why you promote this pub?

I've never been to The Railway - I'm promoting the event and the bands, not the Railway. I'll be going to the event, and if I decide the Railway's a portal into hell or something there's always room for an opinion column...
But news is just reporting of the facts - if a band sends me gig details I'll add them, and if it's newsworthy I'll do an article. Because that's fair. And in this case I've specifically said people should go, because I think they should. Some ace bands are playing, and it'll rock. Some of my best memories are from venues with cuntish promoters or no ventilation or whatever.

Would I be right in assuming that the railway is close to the train station?
Or is it at least easy to find from the train station?

Leave the station by the exit with the large carpark (behind the platform where the trains go TOWARDS Waterloo), walk to the end of the carpark, look to your left and you should see it. 2 min walk max.
