Oasis have unfairly been the scapegoat for bad music ever since 1997’s Be Here Now. It is unlikely that Franz Ferdinand and Razorlight will be making good records six albums down the line. Despite this, Let There Be Love must go down as one of the bands weakest singles. Labelled as the “epic anthem” of the latest album, this predictable single plods along, never rivalling Stop Crying Your Heart Out or Champagne Supernova. However, its still got that Oasis magic and is better than the majority of music out there. Another number 1 for the boys then.
