Chances are you've seen the video to The Strokes' pretty-good-actually comeback single, 'Juicebox', but what you're seeing isn't what was intended.
The video's director, Michael Palmieri, has posted the uncut version of the video on his own website, claiming that MTV forced him to make a number of changes that "caused the narrative to fall apart." Palmieri's website is here.
Palmieri removed his name from the video's credits in protest. The video features a lot of dirty tomfoolery. Like what you can kinda see in that there photo. FILTH.
I love the Storkes
Didn't they sing Baby Come Back? or was it 'Free As A Bird'
LOL
right back atcha.
Two ladies!
Whatever next?!
hah
my dad became "uncomfotable" when the two guys were gettin it together at the end.
would you suck cowell off for a million? bet he has turkey neck on his knobb.
Its a very dirty video though.
Eeesh.
y'know what is filthy though,
him making two Foo(k off) Fighters videos. BURNNNNNNN!
LOL @ The Strokes
they've ripped off Barry Manilow on their nu album.
the guy on the right of that strokes ad
even looks like manilow. haha.
JESUS LIZARD!!!
dont you think 'juicebox' sounds sooo much like the Jesus Lizard fronted by a sane David Yow?
great song by the way
I thought it was more
Eighties Matchbox, but perhaps that's just cos I've listened to them more recently than the Jesus Lizard.
strokes
yeh, i know where your coming from on the 80s matchbox thing...either way i reckon its total commercial suicide from them....
Deja Vu?
Didn't another director do this exact same thing earlier in the year? Got pissed off with the edit took off his credit and posted it on his own site (dit)? Or am I imaging that?
Duh!
imagining - there really needs to be an "edit post" button.
BTW
I like all of what I've heard of the new strokes stuff. It's sounding good and progressive (in a retro sort of way). Looking forward to the album. Hopefully they'll sort out their live show setlist by then as well.
Do the tony wright rap
what's actually happened is that terrorvision have taken on a linda perry type role for the strokes single, and of course that perry role dictates that you must rip off your own underachieving band from years back. actually terrorvision didnt underachieve, because they were really shit. so they did pretty well all in all. sorry, this sounds like a pop at terrorvision. Basically, "pretend best friend", (how to make friends and influence people)1994. Palmieri must have made the terrorvision videos as well, cos they were really, really shit. Sorry, sorry, doing it again. To recap: Strokes - fucking dispicable cunts, Terrorvision - heroes of sorts
ha, bet you thought noone would notice, eh cassablancas, you cheeky shit
!
Isn't David Cross in the video at some point?
Yep.
"No you didn't! No you did!"
Ooh, month delay.
