Part Chimp or Pelican?
As unhelpful as it is, I really couldn't pick a single album by either, though Pelican predominantly played material off their latest album last night.
The Chimp were fucking immense - the two new songs were far and away the best thing I've heard in months.

i was a little disappointed
with pelican. that's not to say they were bad - they weren't. but unlike last time i saw them, it was all too easy to drift off.
part chimp were ridiculous and great and ridiculously great. that is all.

pelican seemed to go on forever and it was all pretty much the same. part chimp however, we back to their best, nice sound, loud at least anyway! i've never been to the scala, it was quite nice.
Well...
I had been looking forward to seeing Pelican, after I heard they had a spilt single with mono out, and listened to their latest album.
But, I expected much more than I got...I found them very good in parts, but as for the rest of the time :(

that last song, maybe it was an encore, sounded just like part chimp, but went on for about 10 minutes longer. rubbish.

they were ace. The first four songs they played were my four favourite Pelicans. Converted two of my friends to them that night as well so don't know what you lot are chatting about.
