Never mind whether it turned out to be any good or not. Which album - before you heard a note of it - were you most looking forward to this year?
For me probably Boards of Canada or Fiery Furnaces or Bright Eyes.

I was hopin
Meg Lee Chin's album would come out this year but sadly it didnt. As for this year, Daft Punk - Human after all. Even though its not their best, it actually wasnt as bad as people said. Also Idlewild - Warnings/Promises. It was a disapointment but also not that bad
LCD Soundsystem
was a bit disappointed. not that much though, disc 1 ended up being a bit of a grower.
i was hoping....
goldrush would put an album out, but it never happened, so probably the ryan adams' albums

Static kinda sprung their album upon us. YCNIMilo's album suprised me by being amazing, not just very good.

Dissapointed big time - just really disposable. The album before was my favourite album ever.

NIN, and I wasn't dissapointed, it was fantastic, alot better than the fragile!

a Kaito album that never came, but was also looking forward to LCD Soundsystem, itself about a year late. Rather curate's eggy when it arrived.

I was quite looking forward to Franz Ferdinand's second. King Creosote's album also got me watching the post more than usual recently. I'm looking forward to Bitter Tea (or whatever it's called) by the Fiery Furnaces more than I was for Rehearsing My Choir (I actually do kind of like Rehearsing My Choir too. Bizarre).
What else? Andrew Bird. The Mountain Goats. Cass McCombs. I can't think of anything else I was particularly looking forward to....

Been a bit apathetic this year. Maybe Six By Seven, Art Brut and Le Neon/Forest Nightmare stuff.
I suppose the bands that I am most eager about are the ones that haven't been keeping their websites updated - it's like you don't know if they'll bother recording again. Once a release date has been set I don't keep the same level of interest. Gone are the days of bolting to the shops on a monday.
