Some

very nice choices there. Geek. Interesting that you rated Wolf Parade so highly and yet when I asked you what they were like you gave me a shrug and said "they're ok".

Wolf Parade

Have won me over.
It took time.
But DANG, tis a good record.

Team Sleep grow on you as well?

i seem to remember you giving that a bit of a slating, so I'm surprised to see it on there at all..

Didn't slate it... it just wasn't AMAZING, like I hoped

Still good. Worth more than the 6/10 I gave it, if only for Rob Crow.

erm

1) Saul Williams ‘Saul Williams’ (WICHITA

what are all the wiggly symbols? this really confuses me
and sufjan stevens = :)

Wiggly symbols

I dunno... at all.
I am not techy enough to understand.

mmm

I think the wiggly symbols are Microsoft "smart quotes" that get mangled because Microsoft refuse to use international standards for dealing with text.

*I'm* the real geek.

this

is true

Cool

I haven't heard of half of them!
Maybe I'm more mainstream!

Constantines @ 10

YAY!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I've heard

four of those albums.

So I can't really comment on it. Indie schmindie.

are you allowed

adam gnade?

I didn't like constantines Tournament - When I got to Hotline Operator I had to turn it off.

Gnade

I reviewed it, for a British magazine, in 2005, so I figure "yes".

Since there's no UK release scheduled, it counts. Besides, if an album's out, it's out - the Internet kind of does away with the need for domestic releases.

Twinkie

They still around? They got an album out? Woooo.

yes

and it's ace !

on that logic

does that mean you can put it on your list again in 2006 if it gets a proper release here?

And Saul Williams was released in 2004, but only over here in 2005?

Patricide - The Constantines

have you got any of their other albums?

Just curious to know if you don't like Tournament in comparsion to other Cons stuff or whether you just don't like them full stop.

This is the best list ever

and I fancy Diver. More than ever.

see those kisses up there? ^^^^

I was here first.

I knew him before you

and we've shared beds in hotel rooms and so much more.

IN YOUR FACE.

Hotel rooms?? When? WHERE?

I can't believe this is happening to me again..I'm such a fool. :'o(

I have 6 of that list

which by my reckoning maks me 6% as cool as Diver, a worthy achievement in my book.

WIVES WAS 2004

by calling it 2005 you ruin my list, NOOOOOOO

No no no no...

...released here in 2005.

Cool list.

You obviously have much more patience making these things then me, and I haven't bought 100 records from this year!

me neither

I have a pretty good shopping list for next year now though!

Naughty Diver

you could at least stick to your own logic ;-)

"Besides, if an album's out, it's out - the Internet kind of does away with the need for domestic releases.
Mike_Diver | 22 Dec '05, 12:06 "

*shoots self in foot*

"Ouch"

Yay!........................

..................another fucking pointless list. I hope you spent alot of time on that.

Good list

Nice to see Sage Francis so high up and people like Buck 65, Espers and Viva Voce get a mention.

nice

list.

i will say that transistor transistor are not as good as they used to be. get the split with wolves it totally rules over their new stuff. same for them live, waaaay better the first time they came over.

OK? Got that?

Happy Christmas!

i think i have 15 of them...

No Marissa Nadler, Mahogany, Songdog, Savoy Grand, Early day Miners, Magnolia Electric Co...

Didn't you..

give Digital Ash 7 and Red Sparowes 10?.. Just asking like.

Well well.....

I have 49 of those albums, so some might say I'm technically not half as cool as Mr. Diver! But then I have 51 which don't feature on his top list so what does that mean now?! Fuck all really. People stop being pedantic about scores he gave in reviews, his opinion can change later on. I'm sure he does continue listening to them after the review is out. "%$£$%&*^% was out in 2004!" Who cares, lists are fun

why no

young adults against suicide? OR Elephant Eyelash - sacriledge or sacre bleu! or even mon dieu to that Divere.

I didn't much like Wives - way way too loud.

umm constantines? I've only heard TOH - I wasn't impressed with the first few tracks but Hotline really put me off listening. I've got through the whole thing once and it left no lasting effects so I just think I don't like them.

Elephant Eyelash

is in the top ten FOOL.

OH

all i see is symbols - why does the site do that all the time? It learns you clever clogs' with your string long lists.

Team are boring so there JESTER

I like them

And they gave mad love to Micheldever once. Respekt.

tart tart

Really

from this day forth

48 shall be my new lucky number.

!

Team at 99

wtf!

lol

Fair enough Patricide

There not to everyone's taste I guess. Personally their first album is my fave, but I dunno if you'd enjoy it much more...alot more raw and nothing like Hotline operator.

p.s. I can't believe you smote my fave band *sob*

I found that singing

hotline operator a bit chef from South Park and it was creepy - anyway Viva Voce are one of my new favourite bands and old diver listed them so YES plus Why? album was brilliant - I've not stopped playing it.

I'm sorry Darcy :P someone on here even has the username hotline operator haha

oh yes Mr.Diver

Pleased to see Sigur Ros in your top ten and I bow down to you sire for having Saul Williams at number 1!!!!!!

dearest mike diver

Saul Williams at number 1. you are a legend sire!!!!!!!!!!

Someone on here

does indeed have the username hotline_operator.

Quality List

Loads of quality stuff on there. I really should listen to Elephant Eyelash more because lots of people seem to rate it highly. Plus you've put it above Deerhoof! So it must be good.

Diver

are you going to follow this up with the top track from each of the top 100? that'd be good...

also, what about A Whilhem Scream?
