Groundbreaking, experimental "folktronica" duo The Books are due to begin their first UK tour at the end of January. Their last album "Lost & Safe!" (released on the ever-reliable Tomlab label) was a masterclass in complex sample splicing and multi-textured folk tinged electronica. It'll be interesting to see how they pull it off live.

aw c'mon
surely the pun potential for that headline was wasted
:P
something about
a mobile library?
.
My tickets are Book'ed.
Ah, oh, hah.
Ahem.
Surely
"Books tour" is a pun? Right?
Totally
I couldn't think of a better one...
Answers on a postcard.
Books book tour
.
We have a winner.
that's better!
ha ha
and that's even better!
too much
Wasn't me!
I suspect a Crablin.
can it
get any longer?!
I'm excited
and The Shed is quite near me. What are The Cloggs like who are supporting them?
yes!
Booya , this is going to be awesome, been waiting a while to see these guys!
where
is The Shed
Ryedale
in north yorkshire.
Back end of beyond really, near the north york moors...but quite close to me.
meh
i booked my ticket for the luminaire gig weeks ago and i got an email saying the date had been changed to march 2nd (or was it 3rd? i forget).
So.
Bear it in mind.
a cautionary tale from this years brightest
braces over t-shirt hope
Don't think it has changed
I checked with the Luminaire venue and they say it is still Feb 3rd as far as they're concerned.
I can see how confusion could arise. A briton would write the date numerically as 03/02/06. A yank would put down 02/03/06 (month first, as is their wont).
that's
correct.
Whoops.
the Luminaire date
changed from the 4 Feb to 3 Feb. So this is right, now. I am excited.
Argh
Curse my gothic tendencies, it's the same day I'm seeing Bauhaus.
yes
I will certainly be at the luminaire date.
Is anyone
going to The shed gig?
i'm definitely going now
that this article has changed name about a million and a hundred times :D
heh
Love this site
I'd love to comment on the headline...
...but I can't read.
"Books bookies favourites to book a book tour featuring The Books but not Simon Bookish"?
What a Novel headline!
I've changed the headline twice
The most recent and the second changes being my work.
I want to know who the other culprits are!
I did bookies one.
Dunno about the other.
I...
I work in a library. That article hurts my eyeballs :(
paul
Coventry eh....
that place scares me a lot, I dunno...
good
to see the headline writer has BOOKed up his ideas
Booker T
