After the months of speculation, it's finally happened - one of the original 'Madchester' bands, Inspiral Carpets, are reforming for a UK tour in 2003.

Full dates are:

MARCH

27 - Sheffield Octagon
28 - Bristol Academy
29 - Leeds University
30 - Birmingham Academy

APRIL

1 - Glasgow Academy (new venue!)
3 - Northumbria University
4 - London Shepherds Bush Empire
5 - Manchester Academy

Tickets are £17.50 except London, which is £18.50 (plus booking fee).

It's highly likely there will also be one or two 'warmup' gigs before these.

It will be the first time the band have played together in nine years, and it's with the original lineup of Tom Hingley (vocals), Clint Boon (keys), Craig Gill (drums), Martyn Walsh (bass), and Graham Lambert (guitar).

After their initial split, Clint released two albums with The Clint Boon Experience. Tom has also released a couple of solo albums, and has been gigging with his band The Lovers, whose set included a number of Inspirals songs.
