The guy with the wobbly voice from the car commerical, has a new single and a tour..

19 years young folk-metaller Martin Grech, has announced the dates of his first tour of 2003, to co-incide with the release of a new single 'PUSH' on January 27th taken from his debut album 'Open Heart Zoo'..

DiScuss: What does Mr.Grech mean to you? Ain't the album a bit of a let down compared to him playing live? What car is it that his song's advertising?

I would quite like to see him live but he's not coming to devon so i can't be bothered. Anybody think his abum thing (or is it single) cover looks EXACTLY like an ugly version of the coldplay AROBTTH cover? I have written him off as a kind of jeff buckley write of without the heart but prove me wrong...

...et the aqualung cover aussi.

he is quite good though. hugely derivative at this stage but good nonetheless, and very engaging live if you can ignore the hand-waggling.

i certainly wouldnt say the album is a let down, its stunning, it just cant be fully appreciated until you see him live.

dunno. my first encounter with him was seeing him at the kerrang fest, seen him a few times since.. i got his album about a week after the first time i saw him and while i like it very much, it doesn't compare to the live stuff. not enough of The Rawk. kinda wish i'd gotten the album before seeing him, cos listening to it after seeing him is something of an anticlimax.
