omg

no this cant happen.he's pooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor.

No way...

this came as a huge shock. I can't believe this, has this got anything to do with Djibril Cisse being done for assaulting his wife?

benitez

has evidently gone mental.

word

drunk

it's the kinda of thing liverpool fans do when playing football manager after a few too many.

as a hull fan and as their alcohol induced I signed lard bucket Dean Windass, it's beyond logic!

Wow...

Returning to Liverpool after all these years...

I remember when he moved to Leeds (when they were good) for trophies. Oh how he failed...

god is back

as a huge liverpool fan i am a bit cynical but this guy has so much passion for the club i think he will slog his guts out for the rest of the season just to earn a contract extension at the end of the season!

I dont doubt he will get goals for us....that finish against united the other week was vintage fowler. he would have certainly buried the chance cisse fluffed last week!

god...show me magic!

How the hell did this happen?

And why?

Slightly worse news: Steve McClaren HAS signed a 3 year contract.

GET
THE
FUCK

IN

!

surely

there was a bung involved?

Sorry Liverpool

But I've seen him at Eastlands the past two years. Obviously got great talent but his body is knackered. Ten minutes here and there I reckon, but there's no real risk in the gamble you're taking I suppose.

All that worries me is that we were already thin on the ground on strikers. I wonder if we could get the Goat back?...

Peter Beardsley

will be on his way back to Newcastle soon. Closely followed by Paul Dalglish.

if only :(

goater was an utter legend. If cole/vassell get injured now, we're fucked. Finger crossed for Samaras, says i.

trembling star

i hear what your saying but in my opinion, his heart has really never been in football that much since he left anfield...now he is back i can see him busting his heart to get back to his old self.......or you maybe right
only time will tell!

I never really questioned his workrate for us - he seemed keen and was relatively well liked

But his back and hips are fucked - there's nothing he can do about it, and the weight gets put on because he can't train too intensively.

But as he showed against the Rags if the ball finds him in position, there's none better.

My point is, any Premiership defender worth his salt would have him in their pocket if he started games.

Kid_A - Re: Samaras. The kid looks like he has good peigree, and hopefully Robbie going has freed up a lot wages. Its just this striking to go to another club business which worries me. If he does end up a success, would he do the same to us? a bit reactionary I know but his attitude hardly seems exemplary!

yeah, suppose.

could be another anelka. Although some sort of auxiliary strikeforce (WOW! A-team ish, eh?) is needed quicksharp. I heard something the other day about Dean Sturridge's nephew a)playing for us and b) being the new wayne rooney. Is this anywhere near the truth?

Cole seems to have

been great this season every time I've seen him. And Vassell's surprised me, I honestly thought he'd just kind of fade away and slide off into the Championship in a couple of seasons. Your strike force seems far healthier than Newcastle's at present!

i agree

it can seem healthy at times, but why can't city be in the slightest bit consistent? i've been a season ticket at maine road then eastlands for 11 years but we really are never going to be going anywhere unless we can keep consistency. i know many other teams have the same problem but "typical city" can not be an excuse forever. stuart pearce seems to harness the same hope as keegan and royle but when exactly do you decide that enough is enough? i honestly believe that pearce is what city need at the moment, but how will he succeed against this mentality that inconsistency is almost tradition, and how can we make it better?

Anelka

Was a very good player for us, and he kept us up one season. The press have just always had it in for him. I've never understood why he is a mercenary while Michael Owen held Liverpool to ransom but he's still St. Michael in the eyes of the press.

As for Sturridge, apparently he's good, and our academy has been producing good players recently (personally, I'm a huge Lee Croft fan), but I'll believe it when I see it. We also have a tendency to hype young talent at City.

As for the Fowler, passionate for club argument I keep hearing, that's fair enough, its never really been his attitude thats his problem since leaving Anfield, it's his dodgy back.

wahey!!

Fowler is back, he is a legend, ok, not anywhere near as good as he used to be but to have him back is just awesome, a true red!!

God

is back.

That is all.

His passion for the club...

is in no doubt, and he didn't cost anything.
I'd be willing to give him a chance.
And much as it pains me to say it, that finish against Utd the other week was absoultely quality.

robbie!!! go robbie

Robbie's still got 1 or 2 more yrs in him and he can finish still very good! i hope he does well anyways, ive always kinda wondered what he might do at a big club (sorry u scousers) like arsenal....he cud have had a load of goals...ah well i can dream what mite of bin
