Now, this really could be nothing more but tabloid trash, but bear with us in case it's not...
Rumours are flying here, there 'n' everywhere, and they're all singing from the same hymn sheet - Pink Floyd, apparently, will reform again to perform a series of shows at London's Royal Albert Hall.
If what we've read proves to be correct, the veteran proggers will play for two weeks solid, from late October 'til early November this year. Which would be nice, no?
Um, any official word on this and we'll let you know.
UPDATE: 16.55, Monday January 30
Computer says no. Well, the band do, anyway.
David Gilmour and company have issued a statement saying that rumours such as those above are utterly false.
"Nick, Richard, Roger and I are telling fans directly that this is not happening," said Gilmour, shortly before buffing one of his many guitars he never uses any more with a passing poodle, one of many that runs freely on his estate, one of many acres. And other uses of the word 'many'.
Of course, this could be double-bluffing. Double-buffing. Bye.

I literally WILL be there
Even if I have to sell my house.
i will go
but it's probably just lies, allll lies!!
Only good thing about Life 8
fact
A collection
of cobwebby old prog relics, blowing the grave dust of their intruments before playing some disasterously overblown and tedious bore rock.
That's just my opinion, mind.
That's deeply unfortunate...
I'll buy a pair of tickets for it though. God knows what the baby boomers will pay for those little babies...
Tickets
Please!! Two tickets for Pink Floyd concert in Royal Albert Hall.
Even if I have to sell everything I have
2 weeks solid,
or 14 nights in a row?
no
2 weeks solid.
and that's just gilmour guitar soloing.
Heh!
...but on a serious note, the Earls Court run in 94 was a 14 night stand too. I went. My tastes have changed A LOT since then. And Howard Donald was sat behind me. Fact.
I like Floyd
I still have an unused ticket from their 1994 shows as I forgot to go (long story)
AM I COOL TELL ME I FIT IN?
please please
i want to know how you forgot. ive got time...
i went
to one of those ones.
the third night i think it was.
not the hilarious collapsing-seating one.
Parsefone...
"Only good thing about Life 8
fact"
I think you will find that The Who completely blew everyone else away, including Pink Floyd.
The Who
Were embarassing, too old to try and be cool. The Floyd just played fucking amazing songs amazingly and had done with it.
The Who
weren't seen by me... same goes for Floyd :(.
I was at Oasis that night, and all they showed was Coldplay with Aschroft, which, when the latter entered, sent the stadium into madness.
The funny thing was, everyone cheered. You could then hear at least 20 ecstatic crowd members asking: "So who's that bloke?"
if this is true
i think my dad might sell me into slavery to get himself a ticket
The Who didn't play Life 8
They played LIVE 8. Big difference.
This would be an ace venue to see them
so long as they ignore the waterless albums and the final cut - hurrah!!!
They should play...
...the Camden Barfly.
I'll see if they fancy my
DiS north night...
cuss.
Pink Floyd
don't look like it's a happemin' afterall...
shame

How depressing, if unsurprising
that it's not happenning. My Dad would have killed to have gone I'm sure. Hey, even I'd have been interested. Four tracks at Live 8 was pretty impressive.
Computer says......
stop imitating little brittain. It really gets on my tits. The first series was good but the rest was a poor excuse for comedy.
Anyway, I would have parted with cash for Floyd at The...Hall. Shame NME posted the denial article before DiS though. Looks like you really "let us know" as it were.
